Binwin's father was swindled out of his mine by a family of dwarves named 'Embershard' and subsequently gave up drinking the Tattered Journal found in the mine mentions 'those wooden beams that we reinforced with bronze bottoms,' and its author was so nervous about cave-ins that he considered giving up drinking entirely.

Embershard Mine is an extended reference to the backstory of Binwin Bronzebottom, Scott Kurtz's character in the Dungeons and Dragons podcast series Acquisitions Inc.This is a reference to the scene in 300 where Leonidas leads a wolf to a narrow passage then stabs it through the mouth with a spear. If you look just to the side of the skeleton you will see a sabre cat stuck between two rocks with a glass sword through its mouth and head. If you head just south of the Shrine to Peryite, only a small journey west of Karthwasten, north-north east of the Lover Stone, you will come across a skeleton (about halfway up the mountain).(To add to these, please keep them in alphabetical order) Cultural references 300 The following are Easter Eggs that appear in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: 3.7.1 The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Islesįor Easter Eggs in other games, see Easter Eggs.2 Historical and mythological references.1.9 How to Make Friends and Influence People.
